Disciples Generous Response

"There are many lives waiting to hear the redeeming words of the gospel, or to be lifted from hopelessness by the hands of loving servants. But they will be lost to you without the generous response of disciples who share from their own bounty that others may know the joys of the kingdom."   D&C 162:7a

God gives and loves graciously and generously!  We know that all we are and all we have are gifts from God. As followers of Jesus, our whole-life commitment is in response to God's wonderful generosity. Being generous is about aligning our priorities with God's priorities, aligning our hearts with God's heart.

What is our response as disciples of Jesus? In simple terms, we are called to respond with thankfulness and share with others as generously as God has shared with us.

CofChrist Offering Envelopes
Community of Christ tithing/offering envelopes are mailed quarterly.  If you need to make a change in your address, want to begin receiving offering envelopes, or discontinue receiving offering envelopes because you switched to eTithing, please contact Beverly Hoffman.  If you do not wish to enroll in e-tithing, you can mail your offering envelopes to Beverly.

Generic offering envelopes are available in the church office for visitors or new envelope users until they can be added to the quarterly mailings or enroll in eTithing. If you need a generic offering envelope please ask for assistance from the Deacon in Charge or Congregation Financial Officer.

CofChrist eTithing

eTithing is Community of Christ’s online platform for members and friends in the US to give Mission Tithes. Giving is safe, easy, and flexible, using desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.  You can make one-time or recurring contributions by bank withdrawal, and with credit and debit cards. When you set up a recurring contribution, you decide when giving starts and the frequency of recurrence (weekly, every two weeks, bimonthly, or monthly).  Contribute anonymously or create an account. With an account, you can:  view your giving history;  add or edit bank account information; add a credit or debit card;  change credit or debit card information; manage your recurring contribution; or make a one-time gift.
If you are a member of the Topeka Congregation, the Community of Christ membership registration system (Shelby) will automatically select Topeka as "My Home Congregation" when you enroll in eTithing.

These cards are ideal for parents and grandparents who tithe online through eTithing, but still want to model the importance of giving to children and grandchildren. Each card highlights all five Mission Initiatives. When the offering plate comes around, just drop in a card, and the kids will see the importance of giving.  You will find the eTithing Offering Cards in the back of the sanctuary.  Please ask the Deacon in Charge if you need assistance.
