Keeping Connected - Topeka Community of Christ - December 7, 2025
Our Joys, Concerns & Prayer List has been updated and emailed to our members.
FIRST: The Memorial Service for Eric Boman will be Saturday, December 13th at 4:00pm at the church here in Topeka. We will provide a meal at the church for the family. Ruth Humbert has already been in contact with many of you to provide food or time for that meal – Thank you for your willingness to participate in providing this ministry. His obituary may be viewed at: Eric Andrew Boman Obituary - Topeka Capital-Journal

 NEWS YOU CAN USE:
  •  NEW! Plastics update: As of today, a total of 504# of plastic has been turned in since August 24th.  There were no new treasures found since our last update.
  • NEW! As of today, the total contributions for the Advent Stable for Outreach International has reached $172.50. THANK YOU! We have $330.00 to go to reach last year’s donations over the next 2 Sundays.
  • NEW! Attached please find the December Midlands Mission Center Newsletter with information, dates and updates you may find helpful.
  • NEW! WE WERE BACK ONLINE STREAMING THIS SUNDAY!! You may have noticed that the last few Sundays there was not a streamed service. This has been due to a Microsoft issue beyond our control. Gary and Randy have been working diligently together, separately and with Microsoft to get the problem resolved and, Ta-Da! Today it worked! Thank you for your patience.

  • An important message from Beth Marolf for everyone accessing “Worship Helps” information from the world church: “As presiders and/or speakers for our congregation, I have some VERY important information to share with you.
In case you missed it, on Oct. 1 the World Church announced in it’s Community of Christ eNews that they are shifting the Worship Resources to a new platform.  The announcement can be reached via this link:  https://cofchrist.org/news/new-gathering-resources-website/  Some of the reasons they list for this change are being able to provide resources in many languages instead of just English to meet the needs of our diverse church & to streamline the process.  Church school lessons for all ages will also be available on this site.

The worship resources will now be located on this website:  https://gathering.cofchrist.org/
I have created a 1-page document that you can use to access the above link & will walk you through the steps to access/print the worship resources.  The resources themselves remain the same: worship outline, sermon helps, thoughts for children, etc.  All of that will now be located at the above website.  While this may be an adjustment, I hope you will find the document I created to be helpful.  If you have questions, please reach out & I will try to walk you through the process.”

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: In the vernacular of Dale Dennis “Have we got a deal for you!” Craig is looking to fill a few positions in the congregation that are opening up, so he needs volunteers.  Are you willing to do or learn to do either of these positions for 2026? Please give these prayerful consideration and contact Craig if you are in any way interested:
