​We value our connections and share a strong sense of trust in and belonging with one another; even if we never have met. There are so many ways to connect with our community. We not only come together for worship, but we look for ways to build relationships along our discipleship journey.  We invite you to share with the Topeka Community of Christ congregation through these community building activities:

Easter Egg Hunt

A Free Family and Community Event. 
​ ​ Join us for an exciting and heartwarming community gathering as we celebrate Easter with a fun-filled children’s event!   

Free Community Kids Carnival

 Saturday - May 2nd 2026
​10 AM - 1 PM
This event aims to attract families and individuals looking for free and fun activities in Topeka, highlighting the inclusive and entertaining nature of our Community Activities.
​
  • Games & Food: Play (free) our carnival games for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

  • Family Fun: Bring the whole family for an afternoon of entertainment, laughter, and community spirit.
 
  • Meet Your Neighbors: A wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members, make new friends and build lasting relationships.​ ​
This event is free for all attendees. Simply show up and join the fun!

Bags to Bench Challenge 

Plastic Bag Recycling Project
 As a denomination we believe in Sacredness of Creation and encourage disciples and congregations to seek out ways in which they can nurture God’s creation.  
 Our Bags to Bench recycling project is an initiative that aims to repurpose plastic bags and prevent them from ending up in landfills or waterways. 
​
This project provides a practical way to contribute to the community and raise awareness about the importance of recycling and reducing plastic waste. Together, we can work towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment for current and future generations.  
​
Trex sponsors a plastic collection challenge in which a group or organization that collects one thousand pounds of plastic film receives a free “polylumber” bench from Trex in appreciation for the community’s recycling efforts. 
​​
Our goal is to place a bench, hopefully more than one, in our Community Peace Garden.
​
