Community of Christ Enduring Principles
Community of Christ Enduring Principles serve as guiding values that shape the identity of the church and its members. These principles provide a framework for understanding the core beliefs and teachings of the church. By upholding our Enduring Principles, the church can stay true to its heritage and maintain a sense of continuity with its past. These principles not only define the essence of the church but also influence its mission and outreach efforts. They act as a moral compass, helping individuals and congregations make decisions that align with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through living out these principles, the church can effectively communicate its message of love, compassion, and service to the world. Our Enduring Principles are not static but the implementation of these principles evolves alongside the church's experiences and interactions with God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Embracing these principles can foster a sense of unity and cohesion among church members, regardless of geographical location or cultural background. |
We do our best to uphold these principles (values, concepts, themes) as a faithful response to our heritage and our continuing experience with God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, the Enduring Principles reflect values that underpin the church's commitment to spreading the message of Christ's love and guide us directly on to paths that help us make Christ’s Mission - Our Mission. |
