Request for Prayers
The Topeka Community of Christ congregation believes in the power of prayer and we would like to pray for you.

God answers prayer.
“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NRSV |
Our Prayer Ministry maintains a list of concerns submitted by friends and members.
We circulate this list of concerns and prayer requests to members of our congregation, weekly by email, so they may pray for those in their time of need.
We do not publish the prayer list on our website or social media accounts.

🙏 We believe that prayers offered to God are heard and that they can help us in managing our lives.
🙏 We believe that when our physical, emotional and temporal resources are exhausted, we can ask God for spiritual help, sustenance and for guidance.
🙏 We encourage people to offer up their concerns for prayer, including a prayer asking for for healing of a friend or family member.
Our Prayers are addressed to God and ask for wholeness and well-being on behalf (Intercessory Prayer) of the recipient. While the word healing sometimes is used, healing can come in many forms. Care is taken to present the recipient to God, who best understands a person’s needs.
This type of prayer is not a sacrament; may be offered by anyone; may or may not be offered in public ministry (such as a worship service); shares the need for wholeness and well-being, often arising from illness or crisis; and is addressed to God on behalf of others.
