We value our connections and share a strong sense of trust in and belonging with one another; even if we never have met in person. There are so many ways to connect with our community. We not only come together for worship, but we look for ways to build relationships along our discipleship journey.
As disciples, we are called to engage in dialogue with people from all walks of life. This not only helps us to understand their perspectives and experiences, but also allows us to share our own faith journey in a respectful and meaningful way. However, it's important to note that dialogue should not be used as a means of proselytizing or forcing our beliefs onto others. Instead, it should be approached with an open mind and a willingness to learn from others.

In my role as a social media administrator for this congregation, I have had the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of individuals through the Social Media Managers Facebook Group.

This group has provided a platform for us to exchange ideas, share best practices, and support one another in our respective roles. It has also allowed us to connect on a personal level, getting to know one another beyond our titles.

Many of the members of this group started their digital discipleship journey as I did.  They knew very little about digital ministry or social media. Many are volunteers.

Through these interactions, I have come to appreciate the value of building relationships with people from different backgrounds and beliefs. I have learned that while we may not always agree on everything, we can still find common ground and work together towards a common goal.

This has been a valuable lesson for me in my own discipleship journey, as it has reminded me of the importance of reaching out to others not in my faith community.

Moving forward, I hope to continue engaging in dialogue with individuals from all walks of life, both online and offline. By doing so, I believe we can create a more inclusive and connected community, one that embraces diversity and celebrates our differences.
